Siobhan O'Sullivan

Siobhan grew up in Kenmare, just outside Killarney. Her childhood walks through native oak forests sparked a lifelong passion for Ireland's natural landscapes. It's that connection—between people and place—that shapes everything she writes.

After studying Environmental Science at University College Cork, she spent her early career working as a ranger and ecological surveyor within Killarney National Park. She contributed to habitat restoration projects and led guided walks for diverse visitor groups. But the real turning point came in 2015.

That's when Siobhan started specialising in designing nature experiences for seniors. She recognised how the park's gentle lakeside trails and wildlife viewing opportunities were perfect for older adults seeking low-impact outdoor recreation. Over the past eight years, she's documented seasonal changes, rare species movements, and the ecological importance of Muckross woodlands through detailed, practical writing.
